Being a mother is definitely not an easy job. Being a full time mom is a 24/7 job. No day off, no vacation. I have not slept through the night for the last 6 and a half years (my 3 1/2 still wakes up at night). And during the day I just run around with the kids’ schedules. Every day I have to look for my son’s missing toys.
And then I got my job as a yoga teacher. Although it’s not a full time I am still super busy and have to juggle with my schedule everyday. I can imagine being a working mother is equally hard. You have to work long hours in the office and at the same time try to spend quality time with the children when you get home and on the weekends.
I think most mothers therefore forgot to look after themselves. No time to exercise, no time to cook. Too much stress. And eventually become less and less fit.
It’s important for us mothers to take care of ourselves. When we are healthy and fit, we will feel good about ourselves, and we will be happy. And when we are happy, our family will be happy.
So how am I starting my Mother’s Day? I am going to yoga class.
